The wines and sparkling wines of Albet I Noya have played a very good role in the Rioja’s Ecovino where about 200 organic wines from 22 wine-growing areas throughout Spain are presented.

The most fortunate has been the Chardonnay Collection 2016 that has gotten the GREAT GOLD in the category of aging whites. This wine is a very limited edition from the winery (only 1500

bottles) made 100% with Chardonnay from Cafeter’s Vineyard (located right in front of the Albet i Noya installations in Sant Pau d'Ordal). It is fermented, and has an aging of 7 months,

in new French oak barrels and a later refinement in the bottle that gives it great volume and aromatic complexity.

The 2013 Marti Reserve has also won a gold medal (Cabernet, Syrah, Merlot and Tempranillo, with two years of aging in barrel) and sparkling brut Barrel 21 (Pinot Noir and

Chardonnay coupages fermented in barrel). The Brut 21 2017 (chardonnay and parellada) has gotten a silver medal.

With these results, Albet i Noya is the best-rated winery in the contest together with 

Rioja's cellar Cornelio Dynasty.
